The second step as PADI dive professional is the PADI Assistant Open Water Scuba Instructor program. Upon completing the program, this rating denotes an individual who: *Has high level of diving skill, Has instructor level Knowledge of diving theory, Has significant training in how to assist an instructor during training activities and Is able to assume the role of responsibility for the welfare of the divers in his/her charge.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

PREREQUISITES
- PADI Divemaster

- CPR and First Aid training within the last 2 years

- 18 years or older by the start of course

- PADI Medical form signed by a Physician

- All PADI Manuals from Open Water Diver right to Divemaster PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving

- PADI Diving Knowledge Workbook

- PADI RDP (Table and Wheel version)

- PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) Crew Pack

- 2 passport sized pictures

EQUIPTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- All equipment is to be supplied by the student. (Equipment can be rented at Frank White’s at a reduced cost for students registered in the Divemaster course.)

Equipment needed: Mask, snorkel, fins, Exposure suit (drysuit recommended), Hood, boots, gloves, Weight belts (for both ocean and pool), Buoyancy compensator with inflator, Regulator, Alternate air source, Submersible pressure and depth gauge or computer, Underwater timing device, Cyalume sticks, Underwater compass, Compressed air cylinder (80 cu.ft. Recommended, 2 preferred), Underwater light (1 primary, 1- back up), Dive knife, Gear bag, Spare parts kit, Logbook, Pool suit, Underwater slate
