What Does a Dive Charter Day Look like?
- Depart at 9am from Tulista Park Boat Ramp in Sidney. (In the event we depart from a different, nearby dock, we will contact you in advance.)
- We can accommodate up to 12 divers on an excursion.
- 6 hour on water, two-tank dive excursion.
- Return to dock at 3pm
Be Sure to Bring
- Appropriate clothing for the weather;
- All personal dive equipment. Rental gear can be arranged, please call or reserve online
- Your Diver Certification Cards
- Additional food and water
- liability form completed ahead of time (see below)
LIABILITY FORM
Be sure to read and fully complete the liability form prior to boarding the charter. Each diver in a party must complete their own form.
LOCATION GUIDES
Sidney Gulf Islands
The Sidney Gulf Islands is home to countless amazing dive sites. From the GB Church or the HMCS McKenzie to classics like Arbutus Island, or North/South Cod Reefs, the diving is fantastic.
Visibility: Can get up to 60-70 feet, but usually 20-30 feet
Current: Average to stronger currents mean diving anywhere at anytime is not an option.
Life: Due to stronger currents, lots of life to be seen in this area, especially octopus, wolf eels, anemones etc.
Wind: Exposure to wind can be a challenge, however there are areas more protected.
Diver Experience: Some dives are advanced, recent experience only, while others are beginner level dives.
Sansum Narrows
A narrow channel between Saltspring Island and Vancouver Island, lots of current flows through this area.
Visibility: Can get up to 60-70 feet, but usually 20-30 feet
Current: Timing is critical here, only diving at slack current. There are places to hide from the current though.
Life: Due to stronger currents, lots of life to be seen in this area, especially octopus, wolf eels, anemones etc.
Wind: Exposure to wind depends on the direction of the wind. As it is a channel, often it is protected.
Diver Experience: Some dives like Burial Islet are expert level dives, some are advanced due to depth, while others are beginner level dives.
Saanich Inlet
A narrow channel between Saltspring Island and Vancouver Island, lots of current flows through this area.
Visibility: -10 - 100+ ft. Highly variable depending on the time of year.
Current: Usually there is very little current in the inlet.
Life: Lots of cool stuff to be seen, but the life is not as dense due to low current.
Wind: generally protected. Exposure depends on the direction of the wind.
Diver Experience: Novice to advanced and above.
Custom built at 38', she can take 12 passengers and 3 crew on even the most extreme conditions with her flat bottom and one foot draw. Previously doing trips up and down the west coast from Alaska to Mexico she now enjoys diving charters around the gulf Islands and Saanich Inlet.

Divers must be at least 16 years of age. Divers under 19 require a parental release waiver.
We reserve the right to cancel charters if weather is deemed to dangerous for the day.
Cancellations made by divers within 72 hours of excursion are non-refundable.
