Description
The PADI Drysuit Specialty is easily the most popular drysuit specialty we teach here in the Pacific Northwest.  Due to the temperate ocean conditions, most divers are far more comfortable in a drysuit (particularly in the winter) than a wetsuit.
As the name implies a drysuit keeps you dry.  Air is a better insulator than water, so the diver wears a layer of fleece with a drysuit over it to stay dry.  This extra compartment of air keeps the diver warm, but adds a layer of difficulty to diving locally.  During the drysuit specialty we teach you the risks asociated with managing two buoyancy control devices and how to manage the air inside the drysuit to stay neutrally buoyant.
The diving in the Pacific Northwest is world class, we want you to explore it comfortably.
